 | | | | I totally disagree with the mother who is upset about a cheese sandwich given to a child for punishment. First of all, My children have been in the school system for a long time and I haven't encountered this problem. It is our responsibilty as parents to pay for school lunch or fill out an application for free or reduced lunch. Children are treated with the upmost respect from our "lunch ladies" which I know personally. As far as pennies go have you tried contacting anyone to see if that is true. Mother of four children in the school system, West Warwick | ...Dislike the way Deering Middle School Students are treated by the "lunch ladies" if they do not have enough money for their lunch. The workers literally take the child's lunch away from them, throw it into the trash, and toss cheese and bread on the tray, calling it lunch. Are you serious, how can anyone take food from a child? Those kids need the nutrition to survive. What is the matter with this system.
